Paul Martin - SPORT & REMEDIAL
MASSAGE THERAPY

Restore is a successful Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy business founded and owned by Paul Martin. Paul has been trained by some of the top educators in the fields of Sport Science, Exercise Physiology and Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy at the ISRM approved London School of Sports Massage and the School of Sport & Exercise Sciences, Bangor. He began his education in Sports Massage while undertaking a degree in Sport, Health and Physical Education at the prestigious University of Wales Bangor and continues to participate in high level further study in order to remain at the forefront of Health Education.

Paul is a registered member of the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage and is required to obtain a certain level of CPD (continued professional development), education and experience each year in order to remain a member of this professional body. The ISRM logo is your assurance of a competent and well educated practitioner working safely and effectively within your community. To find out more about the ISRM please click on the logo below. Paul is also a member of The Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council - an organisation formed with backing from the Department of Health for the purpose of regulating complementary therapies.

Paul works closely with Chiropractors, Osteopaths and other Health Care Professionals and has built up an extensive referral network that includes; GP's, Yoga therapists, physiotherapists, personal trainers, podiatrists etc.. ensuring that you are always being cared for by the appropriate practitioner.

Paul works alongside dedicated athletes during adventure races, has supported the London Marathon, and regularly works with Fire Fighters, Police and Milatary athletes participating in The Fire Service Charity Three Peaks Challenge, Ironman and similar events. Additionally Paul works closely with a Motorcycle Enduro Race Team at extreme events such as the Welsh Two Day Enduro and provides well appreciated support at the White Rose Challenge Cycle Race and local road cycle time trials.

Pauls experience with professional athletes has extended to Karate world champions, professional dancers (including performers from High School Musical and on location on the set of the Holywood production of Mamma Mia), Mountain Bike Areal Display Trials Riders and world champion Downhill Mountainbike racers. Paul also regularly works with rowers, local running clubs, fell runners, and climbers and provides clinical and home support for people suffering with MS, ME, Fibromyalgia, stroke rehabilitation, Dystonia and Hemiplegia.

As a climber and cyclist himself Paul has experienced how it feels to train to a high standard, become obsessed with performance and consequently is well aware of the agony of sports injuries and enforced rest. Paul has climbed worldwide and completed an epic solo rock climbing tour of Europe on a mountain bike and, (perhaps to be expected), has had first hand experience of over training leading to chronic illness and the subsequent rehabilitation proccess. Paul will shortly be training as a yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga for over 9 years.

More recently Paul has volunteered to play a key role in the education of blind Nepalise students in Pokhara, Nepal and currently assists as a tutor at The London School of Sports Massage and The Welsh School of Sports Massage. Additionally, Paul Martin has been recognised by the SRTC to provide Sport & Remedial Massage to members of the British Athletics Commission and the Elite Athletes Club.

As a registered Sport & Remedial Massage Therapist there are strict codes of ethics by which we must operate via both the ISRM and the CNHC. Please take the time to glance over the codes of ethics for your assurance and peace of mind:
